Named after the hundred-eyed watchman of Greek myth, Argus watches the education landscape: spotting new opportunities, pressure-testing the ventures we're building, and tracing every read back to the real-world signals behind it.
The evidence library: the raw signals the pipeline is watching across the education ecosystem. Every idea is built from these.
Better than I expected. Challenging and yet doable.
While it is a good approach to learning new languages, with all the adds and need to pay to actually learn the language, it isn’t that good of a learning app. Maybe if the app gets rid of all the adds and makes it so you don’t have to spend money just to learn the language, I might consider downloading it again. DO BETTER PLEASE!! Make a better app. Please.
What’s wrong with a honest and linear progress bar?? It’s really shady have a non linear progress bar. That kinda tricks me.
Fun and easy to use!
So fun and educational love using Duolingo,GET THE APP NOWWWW😍😍😍😍😍
it helps me learn and speak fluently!
:( but lessons are good
Overall, the application performs adequately but has notable issues. Many hints provided are incorrect, and reporting these issues often results in acknowledgment without any fixes. Additionally, there is no accessible list of vocabulary words for review or study. Customer support is unhelpful; while they respond with thank you emails after reporting problems, they typically do not address the issues. Due to these concerns, I no longer recommend this app and suggest trying LangLandia instead, which offers better customer service, vocabulary lists, and is more affordable annually.
A nice app but ADDED GAY terminology! Be aware! Those of you that want to teach the little ones a different language; choose something else!
They added all of this stupid energy stuff and now the whole app is ruined every question is like 2 energy I couldn’t even finish my 3rd ever lesson without it forcing me to stop. Never installing this again
I love Duolingo, so it’s so easy and free. I don’t super Duolingo, but I heard that you can have one week free and Duolingo will remind you before.
I love wverthing about these language programs except the angry face. Stop those please!
I played it for a bit it was ok but when I decided to delete I kept on getting ads for it so much and I got tried of it
This app was great at first to learn some basic vocabulary. Since then, I keep losing XP because of the stupid masculine and feminine rules that it never actually formally taught me because the app is stupid at teaching anything more complicated than basic vocabulary. The passive aggressive messages to keep a streak going also drive me crazy. And when you use the talk to text feature that’s available within the app, sometimes it will type whatever it wants, which is not what you said and it counts it as wrong because it doesn’t give you a second to proofread it before it automatically submits what you verbally said
It helps me a lot with Korean and even makes it fun so whoever made this app deserves a reward :)
Pleasantly surprised at how quickly I’ve learned elementary French!
This app became trash this year. I’m thinking of canceling their subscription.
Duolingo will sneakily change the icon to gross pictures, it’s disgusting and you can’t change it to something reasonable. How do I get my money back?
Uses AI😒
I pay for a subscription and they changed the app icon to this really annoying icon of a sweaty, sick bird with no way to change it. I don’t like looking at it enough to delete the app and cancel my subscription
Such a good convenience and so much fun
Conversational Spanish with a game like presentation. Repetition makes it stick. Just a few minutes daily
5 estrelas
This really helps with my German! And don’t worry duo, you’re not gonna have to take my soul. I’m keeping my streak.
Fun and easy to learn, but their charge system is so bad! They’re so greedy and won’t let you go past max 2 tiny lessons for free! Used to be a great app before they got greedy.
I like it but it doesn’t have Morocco
It’s a really nice app for learning. I don’t like that they want you to upgrade to Super Duo a lot. I think it’s a little waste of money. But overall, it’s a really good app, despite the prices.
I learned so much from Duolingo
A formerly good app, has been made unusable without a subscription by a recent update. Also, consider the subscription costs $120 a year.
I've been using Duolingo for years but have experienced limited results related to Korean language learning. It assumes you're picking up all the skills that aren't even explicitly mentioned in each lesson, and I've found it hard to move ahead. Even when I want to go back and review or practice simpler lessons, they've become longer and much more difficult. I now study chess most of the time, and I already knew how to play. Finally, Duolingo has brought back disgusting alternative phone icons, apparently to motivate you to do a lesson, and they remain even after you've completed one or more lessons.
Es una herramienta muy útil para aprender diferentes idiomas
You will not become fluent in German with this app. Duo wastes your time by having one repeat endless exercises about Little Red Riding Hood—yes, really—and about sheep and rats and pigs. Why not use normal vocabulary instead of spending endless units on barnyards and fairy tales with long names, requiring endless typing. Don‘t get me started on the bizarre voices that they employ to teach the exercises. One speaks so fast that she is impossible to understand, and the child‘s voice is like chalk on a chalkboard. Words are slurred and endings dropped. Language teachers speak distinctly, because they want their students to learn. Duo makes learning as difficult as possible. The AI often falls asleep and fails to recognize simple, one syllable words that it recognized 60 times before. Six months later…Duo has updated its vocabulary. Many more useful words. Word recognition remains below average. Still a terrible app for German.
easy to learn, starts easy and builds up, you can learn multiple at once and it is fun trying to extend your streak!
decent app but please kill the stupid owl
it’s good the only thing is it has a lot and i mean a lot of adds
I haven’t found or used all apps, but I like the way the programs help me learn various languages. I don’t like how updates are added, but I’m still challenged to try my best.
Yo soy Micah
I am learning a great deal of Español with this app!
I really enjoy the content and learning Japanese. I do not like the look of the sweaty bird icon. It looks weird and makes me want to move the app somewhere I don’t have to look at it
It’s amazing
Perfect app
Duolingo has always been a great way for me to practice language, and don’t get me wrong it’s helped alot, but I’ve noticed two problems that stops my 5 star. First of all, when typing, words that make sense for the scenario aren’t accepted, and it always has to be their specific word. Like Duo, other words for the same sentence and meaning exist, don’t instantly mark it wrong. Secondly, the app gets very repetitive and boring, and hard to keep up on. I find myself putting it to the side often due to boredom rather than difficulty. I feel like if the app had funner ways of keeping and learning languages, it would be 10 times better. Other than that, it’s a great app. Little antsy on telling you to get super/max, but it makes sense so no points taken off. Please take this review into consideration and enjoy the rest of your day Mr duo, and don’t take my family again, I do my lessons.
It needs another way to get energy instead of spending gems and waiting a hour
It helped me during my lessons when I was bad at Spanish and now I’m really good and it is goofy with the images
When you take it seriously it definitely shows. 30 years and I am finally learning my mom’s native language. It takes learning a language from a chore to a game. My whole family is learning Japanese with me. I can’t recommend Duolingo enough.
Babbel
Super fun app to learn in but the adds are super inappropriate for kids.
I’ve almost got a 500 day streak and I’ll gladly lose it just so I don’t have to see that awful icon image anymore.
I’ve been a loyal Duolingo user for years with a long streak, and I used to be proud to have the Streak Society icon on my home screen. It was a great motivator and a reward for my consistency. But now, Duolingo has removed the ability to customize the app icon. I’m forced to look at this ugly, creepy icon every single day. It changes to angry or weird expressions if I haven’t done a lesson yet, which feels like manipulation, not motivation. I’ve seen icons that look “sick” with snot, melting, or even with three eyes. It’s unsettling and makes me not even want to open the app. I earned the right to choose my icon through my streak. Taking that away feels like a slap in the face to dedicated users. Please bring back the ability to customize the app icon and stop forcing these awful designs on us.
The overall review of Duolingo is very great I love it so so so much. Duolingo has been teaching me, my family, and my friends! I hope to see that is has more renovations later on in the year again I love Duolingo so so so much but it just needs some renovations!👍🏼
