[1/5] It’s a great resource to compile all of your note cards, but to use them you have to pay

I have a very sizable Quizlet set, and the learn function is awesome. It’s now paywalled, and I can’t use it more than twice every so often. It’s effectively the only reason I paid for premium a couple of times. It’s stupid to do that to your customers. Instead of paywalling features I already had access to for free, make better features I will actually use to incentivize me paying you.

[4/5] Helpful!

Quizlet can be very helpful for studying and doing well on quizzes and tests in grade school and high school! There is also built in AI that can help you know how to best study. You can have study groups for studying with friends which is nice. The only annoying thing is that you have to pay for a subscription to have the necessary things such as practice questions and tests. Other than that very efficient study tool for individual students and teachers.

[3/5] Glitching

This app keeps glitching. Everytime I go to highlight or bold my notes it undos all my work. No matter how much I update the app it keeps glitching and it’s really annoying especially when I’m trying to study. Might need my money back. Also, there needs to be a way to edit the flashcards on the phone app without having to exit the entire set. Like I need to be able to edit a flash card when I’m currently on that flash card as opposed to getting out of the entire set to go to the settings and scroll all the way down to the one flash card I need to edit. Please make these convenient changes soon. Thanks

[3/5] Poorly organized

It is really hard to control which lessons are presented and sometimes the flash cards just have numerals as answers which is not comprehensible. There should be a menu option so the student can navigate through and choose a lesson. As well, there should be a more understandable system.

[1/5] Poorly generated AI

It’s obvious that the flash cards must be AI generated because of the poor grammar and stupid spelling mistakes. If you’re going to use AI to generate flash cards do everyone the courtesy of proofreading them before you publish them. It saves us wasted time trying to decipher what you mean and we can focus on the reason you provided them exam preparation.

[3/5] Pay to use

This app used to be mostly free but to even finish learning a card set you have to pay for it. I get you want to make more money but to not even let someone finish a set is shameful. As someone who’s used Quizlet for over 6 years, the paying for EVERYTHING is ridiculous.

[3/5] Okay - could be less clunky

I like the app generally, and have found it useful . I like how the free responsequizzes do not need to be exactly worded to match the original answer, it has some sort of AI to see if they’re close. However, editing sets is clunky. If there’s a card I want to edit in a large set, I can’t just hold down on the card while it’s on my screen- I need to go to “Edit Set” which loses the position of my card, and has no alphabetical sorting to help find it. This company has been around for years, so I’m judging more harshly. I would consider swapping to another app if it had the intelligent answer checking and better card editing, as I generally add to my sets frequently and editing is more work than it should be.

[1/5] updates are not helpful

this used to be my favorite app for studying. not only did they integrate AI poorly; it doesn’t even help, but they also changed features that were helpful. i hate the updates. let me start a card even if i’m on an answer streak!!! like what is the point of having a feature on a notecard app if i can’t even “set aside” a notecard. so annoying.

[3/5] Disappointment

The app lacks a clear structure. Why can’t I see the modules I created right away when I open the app? Why doesn’t the app send notifications to remind me to practise? Why is there no reward system or visible progress tracking? Why is access to my own modules so complicated and full of unnecessary clicks? There is no streak, no progress bar, no clear learning path — nothing that helps me stay consistent. Look at Duolingo: it may not teach much deeply, but at least it has a system that keeps users engaged and helps them build a habit. I wish Quizlet helped users move vocabulary from short-term to long-term memory by adding a clearer learning structure, progress tracking, practice reminders, and maybe even random notifications with words or expressions from the modules they have practised recently. I don’t necessarily need heavy gamification. I need a clear structure that actually supports learning.
