It’s ok and all, but there are many problems. The energy thing is ridiculous. What if it runs out mid lesson? It should not go down as you answer questions correctly, and you shouldn’t have to wait an hour for 1 energy. In the cross math game, some of the numbers is just one number then just the three dots (example: “2…”), and I have to guess what it is. The lessons teach you dumb and ridiculous sentences, and the streak freezes and streak shields are too expensive for the amount of gems you receive. Also, I was doing a lesson and it said let’s fix some mistakes, no energy needed. I ran out of energy and it didn’t allow me to fix my mistakes that didn’t need energy, also sometimes in Russian when it shows the hard sign (ъ) it says myakis’nyak, and makes me draw it, which is the soft sign (ь). You should also make it so that you don’t loose your energy if you run out before a lesson is done, just a suggestion. Also, whenever my mom reports something on the app, it gives her the choice t

I always wanted to do Spanish. That’s why I got this app so I recommended a lot. And it’s also fun.
I’m so tired of these money hungry apps, tell me why the ads say “It’s free so there is no excuse”, but when I download it I have 25 energy that makes you lose one after every wrong or correct answer - if you have 0 it will ask you to get super duolingo or spend 600 in game gems that are hard enough to get. I am giving it a 1 star for ad misinformation and the app constantly asking you to buy super or max - and you can barley learn a language without super since there are about 25 questions in each session. To get your energy back you have to wait about two days.

It sucks. It’s stinky you got paid for super Duolingo that is such a pain and why do you need to pay for super Duolingo why? Because they wanna earn money so they gave up now giving me light that cost cheaper it still cost money and I can’t even do two English lessons without need to get super Duolingo such a scam. One star sucks.
This is a perfect time killer and a fun way to learn! I’ve been using the app to improve my English skills and get better at Spanish! My Papa is so proud of me! Gracias Duolingo for being there for me !

I really enjoy Duolingo, my friend has a streak in the 400’s! The reason I gave it a 4 is that theirs just a tons of ads for me but that’s all. Over all it’s a good app!
I lov Duolingo because it helps so much with learning, it really helped me with languages that I needed to know of how t speak. The only problem is with the super Duolingo thing that I'm not willing but I might since I can barely learn anything on one day. One time I was going on vacation and I urgently needed to learn things about the language so I could speak and talk without trouble, and the super got in my way and I was barely able to learn anything. But overall, Duolingo is a great app and I recommend to try it if you haven't.

I used to have this app and now I know 10 languages
It’s been great for multiple languages, but it’s frustrating when it doesn’t process what you say or lags on times lessons. I’ve wasted points having to but time extensions because it doesn’t process what I’m saying (correctly!) or when the word given doesn’t make clear what tense or plural/singular it wants. Wish you could get reimbursed.
I love that it gives u free supers and family plans.

Forget the negative reviews, Duolingo actually is teaching me Spanish, and I am learning, yes the energy system is sometimes annoying, but buying a family super plan is worth it for a family up to six, best language app, it makes it fun
I kinda wish that video call was free, as a tween I can’t put money into the app, and it seems like a great feature and all, but I feel like it should be a free service so that people can get better quickly without having to pay, because that’s why I downloaded the app, I don’t want to pay just for lessons. This is a great app, but some features that I think should be free aren’t.
You have a “battery” and it loses one charge per question but the charge will go out in the middle of a lesson and I have to restart completely and then wait the next day for my “charge” to go back up. Why is a LEARNING app making u pay to LEARN..?

I got the Duolingo so I could learn Korean on the app. It said it was free. Well apparently you have to do all these things and if you don’t do your free week trial, which has you pay you can’t do it and that it’s not deleting off my thing.
It’s so fun to learn math and I’ve never ever said that before, but with Duolingo, you gotta learn math and get bad and get gems and like
Because of the replacement of hearts with battery, it forces me to stop learning after like a lesson and a half. I used to be on Duolingo all the time and had a streak of ~3 months, but this discourages me from using the app if I have to either pay or give up after the first lesson
I have been using it for two weeks now and I’m really getting tired of all the bling and bells and whistles and useless animations. Let’s just stick to the content please

Overall a great app, but the web browser is missing dark mode and my eyes pay the price 😭. 4/5 stars. I'll come back and rate 5 if the browser gets dark mode.
