I love this so much
Videos sometimes do not play, app crashes frequently and lessons also very frequently have incorrect solutions and glitches requiring you to restart the lesson. Typing using the in-app keyboard is also very finnicky, creating and logging into accounts do not work well, and things taught in the videos aren't in the lessons after.

I tried to pick one of the previous lessons I’ve done because they are getting harder and harder and I wanted to go back to some older terms but it still gives me the hard stuff I’ve been studying and I can’t even get through a lesson anymore (the use of AI is probably contributed to it)

Duolingo has helped me connect with my Mexican family becuase some only speak Spanish and I used to not speak Spanish
this app is pretty good and i benefit a lot from it and build healthy habits, but i have 1 suggestion. it woukd be pretty cool if you could enter text and duo could help you pronouce all the words correctly and stuff. like if your an actor with a spanish part you could learn it easily in stead of going down the whole path. same with singers too.

Duolingo has like every language you can think of and is good for any ages. It is good that they ask how good you are at the language and it is even fun I highly recommend using this app it is great

Not amazing to be fluent in a language, but it’s nice to get started on. Little weird but in a funny way. I would also like to include that it teaches math, music, and chess. Good for older kids. 👍🏻🥒

App has come a long way. If you heard you can’t learn a language for real on here, I think you’ll be surprised.
Duolingo is an extremely poor way to attempt to learn Spanish. It’s mediocre if you have studied Spanish and use it for review. As a person who has studied Spanish at the college level, I can attest that it is impossible to learn proper grammar with Duolingo. In addition, they now restrict the time you can use the app without paying for it. Given its vast shortfalls, it is certainly not worth paying for! Duolingo is a money grab and ineffective for learning a language.

They charge you without notifying you and they tried to charge my son and he doesn’t even have a credit card on file. They tried to charge me over $160 on 4 separate occasions even after I cancelled and uninstalled the app. 3 months of not using it and they still tried to charge me. They said e notify you 3 days before but that’s a lie. They’ll charge you 2 days before the free trial is up so you don’t have a chance to cancel. Their support is pathetic. I had to go through bank all 4 times. Just google them and you’ll see all the gory stories. Apple should also be ashamed of themselves for supporting this horrible developer. I blame them as well.
Good app, teaches you a lot but is quite repetitive. Also is bugging you to get super and forces you when you lose gems. 7 out of ten starts.
Honestly, Duolingo is the best! Normally after school, I’m not allowed to go on my iPad at all! But when I showed my mom that I can learn French, math, and music! She was wild, but she didn’t believe me at first, so I had to show her, then when she saw she was amazed, and then she let me come home and go straight on Duolingo! And right after Duolingo and my favorite lessons then I had to do my homework and then right after that, I went on Duolingo again!! Thank you Duolingo for making this. This is the best! In the main character, Duolingo is so cute. He is so encouraging and he’s adorable! I am so excited for when I graduate high school because my mom said she was gonna take me to French and now that I have Duolingo, I can learn so much from that! By the time I get into fifth grade, I’m gonna be a math wizard and a outstanding student at music! You have to download it today! This is the best app somebody has ever made. Thank you!
I just noticed the lightning round is stuck on the very first sets of cards…even though I’m further down the path. Are the flashcards supposed to be like that?
Love that it is audio, visual, speaking, and typing as well as other methods of responding but I do NOT like that everything is XP, rankings, pay to get gems to continue timed rounds. I’m paying for the service, I don’t want to pay on top of that to continue learning. I also dislike the lack of a reference glossary, as the units sometimes speak with new words and phrases I cannot figure out from context. There are no options to opt out of the dumb stuff, and the units that are actual video games are exceedingly simplistic and repetitive.

I think duolingo is a amazing app and i love everything bout’ it but couple of things. THE MICROPHONE. It doesnt work on some words and I also think that there should be more than just 4 sections in languages because kids/older people should be able to learn more. There should be spelling sections, reading, and writing sheets. I know its not to speak fluently but it should at least have those things.

i think is really good but they shouldn’t just throw us in here because i had limes disease and i wanted to randomly learn french but i couldn’t under half of it and i deleted it. so Duolingo do freaking better or I’m actually gonna sue. Ok I learned Spanish, I was on a good journey until my Tia (aunt) she speaks Spanish and she wanted to listen to see what I’ve learned. I tell her something and she says it’s wrong! Duolingo wasn’t teaching me Spanish they were teaching me a different language! Ugh! NEVER AGAIN! I do not recommend!
