Notifications don't show up half the time
I need classroom for school of course and I need the notifications to keep me on track of my work and assignments but the notifications do nothing. I get a notification that says you have a new assignment so I tap on it and it just takes me to all the classes. It doesn’t take me to the new assignment which is useless. What’s the point of telling me I have an assignment but you don’t tell me what it is and you don’t take me too it? Either way, I still have to have the app for school. The notifications used to say what the assignment was but then it changed. It was much more useful when it actually told me what it was. If you’re gonna change the notifications just make it so they at least take me to the assignment or private comment or announcement. You know that problem where you finish the assignment, but it doesn’t turn in. You just press view instructions and press the button that says submit.🥀
Can’t really complain about the app it’s helped me a lot in the past but one thing I would like to see is a widget I can add to my home screen that shows me what assignments are due today or in the future
When we used to receive notifications, it would tell you which class it was for and would take you to it. Now it only shows that you have a notification but you don’t know which class the post is in. I feel like I’m missing information this way. I looked online for a fix for this. I rebooted, toggled my notification button, nothing helps. Update please before the school year begins!
I love this app I just wish the app for MacBook worked like it does on my phone. Hopefully we will be able to use the app on MacBook instead of the browser in the near future.
it’s great on mobile but it’s not useable on ipad which is an extreme issue considering it’s a major device a lot of people use for schoolwork
I love this new update on the app on the phone this is what you called organization and the quotes were needed to keep us moving and the welcoming good morning and good afternoon and good evening with our names is so so great keep it this way next add some themes we can change it to which will be crazy and the app on the laptop and iPad I love it but keep it like that with the little astronaut and the planet so so cute
Just noticed a new update that has some updates. Main difference is the new user friendly dash board, customizable and I love the lay out!

While the app works it keeps repeatedly offering an invitation to the same course, which I was already a member of in canvas to begin with, but it won’t stop asking even if I accept the invitation. Then it will NOT reset or clear announcement counts so it shows I have unread announcements and there’s no real way to tell when there is a legitimately new unread one. It’s also frustrating that I cannot remove old assignments, for example a teacher who gave us an assignment last spring for a group project required that only one member submit the final project. I have to go through all of these old assignments until my school decides to remove me from the course (so when fall semester starts). It makes it appear I have multiple to do items but none are valid, I should be able to delete these myself somehow or mark them as completed without having to submit something. Some professors use assignments to just give us directions for things we do in person and if that professor messes up their a
The update is a step in the right direction! I like that you can choose if you don’t want to have one thing or another on the dashboard! It is slightly confusing right now and i think the thing that needs to be customizable is the themes, similar to “better canvas”.
My to do list is not showing anything even though it says I have 4 things do.
Doesn’t seem to let me log in on my iPad
it's a great app, love the UI and its so intuitive but there's an issue with the to do list notification system- its been showing that i have 18 or 19 things next to the icon for the to do list but when i check there's only 1 or 2 actual assignments
